2026 Fall Registration is OPEN!
Experiment with Plant & Animal Chemistry!
Your Children’s Museum has partnered with Dr. Anne Rodriguez, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Millikin University, to bring chemistry to you museum-style! This program will consist of two one-day camps just for kids in 5th through 8th grade. Participants will enjoy hands-on experiments, scientific snacks, and swag. Lunch will be served daily, so please be sure to fill out the allergy information. Camps are held from 9 am-12 pm, with the first camp at the museum and the second camp at Millikin.
This year our theme is Plant & Animal Chemistry, which will include hands-on projects that explore temperature variations, nutrition, photosynthesis, and more. The cost is $10 per class. Scholarships are available by calling Melanie at 217-423-5437.
ChemGirls is a chemistry camp specific to girls in 5th – 8th grade. ChemKids is a chemistry camp for campers of all genders in 5th – 8th grade. ChemGirls and ChemKids will repeat activities, so campers will not want to register for both.
