Project #1 is a fun and easy way to show someone how much we appreciate them.
Let’s thank all the brave workers and helpful people who have not stopped during these serious times to make sure we have all that we need to stay safe and healthy. Who are people you think need to be thanked? Here are some people we have noticed: doctors, nurses, police officers, EMTs, grocery store employees, restaurant employees, etc.
Here’s one idea for a card. Inspiration- https://www.muminthemadhouse.com/simple-kid-made-thank-you-card/
For this activity you will need the following items:
- Heavy piece of white paper
- A white crayon
- Water Color
Now here’s what you do:
- Fold the piece of paper in half
- Write “Thanks” or “Thank You” on the front of the card with white crayon. You may need to look at it from a different angle to see where you have drawn.
- Use watercolor to paint over the front page.
- Did you see your words appear?
- Write a “thank you” message inside the card
And here’s another idea for a card. Inspiration- http://www.recesswithashley.com/blog/5-minute-diy-watercolor-greeting-card
For this activity you will need the following items:
- Heavy piece of white paper
- A black marker
- Paint
- A straw
Now here’s what you do:
- Fold the piece of paper in half
- Dip one end of the straw in paint
- Blow hard with the straw close to the paper. Cool, huh?
- Use the paint bottle to squeeze a small amount of paint on the front of the paper.
- Now use the straw to blow the paint around the front of the card. Pretty awesome, right?
- Wait for the paint to dry, then use a black marker to write “Thanks” or “Thank You” on the front.
- Write a “thank you” message inside the card.
