Welcome to the 2025 Summer STEAM Camps at CMofIL!
Our STEAM camps are 4-day long camps designed for kids entering third – fifth grade, with the exception of Girls Who Code which is for girls entering fifth – eighth grade. Each camp focuses on STEAM curriculum with hands-on activities and experiments.
Each camp, with the exception of Girls Who Code, meets from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm for four days with a showcase from 11:15 – 12:00 on the fourth day where family and friends can come see what we did in camp.
Drop off can begin as early as 8:50 am and pick up is no later than 12:15. A snack, water, and free play in the museum are provided each day.
For all camps, adults picking up campers must bring an ID and be on the authorized pick up list (completed in registration).

Stop Motion Camp
July 20th – 23rd
New this year: Stop Motion Camp! Campers will learn all about the animated filmmaking technique while creating their own project. This camp is designed for kids entering third – fifth grade.
Stop Motion Camp meets from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on July 20 through July 23. On June 23, we’ll end the camp with a showcase for friends and families from 11:15 am – 12:00 pm.
Drop off can begin as early as 8:50 am and pick up is no later than 12:15. A snack, water, and free play in the museum are provided each day.

Art Camp
July 27th – 30th
Art camp is back! But this year, we’re focusing on a new technique or project each day. We’ll explore drawing, painting, color theory, sculpting, and more. This camp is designed for kids entering third – fifth grade.
Art Camp meets from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on July 27 – July 30. On July 30, we’ll end the camp with a showcase for friends and families from 11:15 am – 12:00 pm.
Drop off can begin as early as 8:50 am and pick up is no later than 12:15. A snack, water, and free play in the museum are provided each day.

Girls Who Code Beginner Session
July 6th – 10th
Girls Who Code has been a hit program for over a year and we’re back with another beginner session. This camp is for girls entering fifth – eighth grade and will teach them how to code two games from scratch using the coding program called Scratch.
Girls Who Code will be held each day from 4:30 – 6:00 pm in the museum’s STEM Lab. We’ll end the camp with a showcase for friends and family from 5:00 – 6:00 pm on Friday, July 10th.
Drop off can begin as early as 4:20 and pick up is no later than 6:05.
STEM Sampler
June 22nd – 25th
Join us as we explore each area of STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We’ll use hands-on learning, experimentation, and play to learn more about each STEM component. This camp is designed for kids entering third – fifth grade.
STEM Sampler meets from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on June 22 through June 25. On June 25, we’ll end the camp with a showcase for friends and families from 11:15 am – 12:00 pm.
